Our family of four lived in a tiny 800 sq. ft 2BR, 1BA apartment and the rent NEVER ceased to increase. Over the past 8 years, we've had the same mortgage payment with our fixed rate mortgage- no increases because it's fixed! When we get raises, we can use it for other things instead of offsetting the increase in housing costs. Sure, we want to sell our house to you but we'd love to find a family that's stuck in a tiny apartment who could qualify for a mortgage but didn't think they could.
